__ Book photographer, videographer, limousine, and florist
__ Make honeymoon reservations

Three Months Before...

__ Select & purchase honeymoon clothing
__ Schedule wedding day hair and make-up session
__ Finalize wedding & reception guest lists

__ Go to physician and dentist for physical exams
__ Check marriage license requirements
__ Schedule time to get the license (after determining how long the license is valid)

Two Months Before...

__ Address and mail wedding invitations (make this a bridesmaids' party)
__ Select a gift for your spouse-to-be
__ Select gifts for attendants, best man and ushers
__ Begin recording gifts and writing thank-you notes
__ Prepare maps and directions for the ceremony and reception
__ Purchase a wedding guest book
__ Schedule a rehearsal with your officiant

One Month Before...

__ Have final fittings on wedding gown and bridesmaids' dresses

__ Arrange to announce your wedding (with portrait) in the newspaper
__ Review checklist to ensure that all service providers are scheduled
__ Pick up wedding rings
__ Purchase wedding accessories such as ring pillow, goblets, garter belt, candles,
etc.
__ Plan the seating for the reception; Give caterer final count
__ Review any as-yet undecided details for the ceremony and reception
__ Start writing placement cards
__ Arrange for the move into your new home
__ Begin changing bride's name on all necessary documents
__ Complete postal change of address
__ Last check of bride's and bridesmaids' gowns, accessories and shoes; men's
formalwear and accessories
__ Arrange for wedding gifts to be moved to your new home
__ Reconfirm guest accommodations

 

One Week Before...

__ Have final consultation with photographer, florist, baker, limousine, caterer, and entertainment
__ Conduct bridesmaids' luncheon
__ Confirm rehearsal plans with clergy and attendants
__ Review seating details with the ushers

__ Delegate responsibilities to reliable individuals on your wedding day

The Day Before...

__ Review your checklist
__ Pack a "wedding day kit" of makeup, sewing supplies, aspirin, tums, band-aids,
spare glasses or contact lenses, etc.
__ Review and rehearse details with your participants
__ Schedule time to relax

 

...The Big Day

__ Adopt a mental attitude to relax and enjoy yourself!

(Accept in advance that yours is not likely to be history's first "glitchless" wedding!)

__ Prepare for your hairdresser and makeup appointments
__ Make sure the best man and maid of honor sign the wedding certificate
