What is a Bridal Show?

Attending a bridal show can be very helpful in planning your wedding. You can meet and talk personally with many wedding professionals - all in one location! It can be a really enjoyable day for you and your wedding party, mother, and/or groom-to-be. Most bridal shows offer prizes and individual vendors may also give away prizes.

You can do the following at a bridal show:

  • Gather Information

  • Talk with Wedding Professionals

  • Compare Services and Prices

  • Book Your Date Immediately

  • Register for Prizes

  • Try Samples

  • See the Latest Fashions

  • Get Great New Ideas

Tips For Bridal Show Attendees

Bring pre-printed, self addressed labels. These will save you time when registering for prizes or information. Be prepared to wait in line to register. Be patient! This is well worth it.

Bring a pen for taking notes and filling out prize registration forms. (Please Print Neatly!)

Bring your checkbook if you want to actually book any services, or hold dates with a deposit. Be sure to check on refund policies before giving any money, and read the contract carefully before signing.

Collect any information you are interested in - take it home to look over again when you have some quiet time.

Send your mother, relative or a friend to pick up information for you if you are unable to attend.

Bring as many people with you as you want, they can help you in many ways. Many brides bring their attendants, mothers and fiancés. In fact, between 25-30% of all engaged men attend with their brides-to-be. However, anyone you bring should be prepared to pay an admission charge, usually between $5 and $10.
